Progressive is a limited edition type of Rare Gem in Bejeweled Blitz. It is a polyhedral white gemstone with a blue P engraved on it. This Rare Gem was created as a way to symbolize partnership with Progressive Insurance.
When the game begins, one of three special game board patterns that feature white gems with blue Ps on them appears. These gems function the same way as Flame Gems do except they also clear every gem within the same row. P-engraved gems also appear throughout the game. Making Flame Gems by using white gems instead create P-engraved gems while the Progressive harvest is in effect.
After the Last Hurrah, an image of Flo on a unicorn appears for a few seconds. This is one of the limited edition Rare Gems in which a coin bonus is not given upon completing a game; the other Rare Gems that share this characteristic are Ice Burrrst, Sprinkle Blast, and Bundle Blast.
