  • Heya :) Long time no hear :) Hope you're doing well!

We've recently discovered a little flaw in the way that custom font importation works that prevents only some people from seeing the custom fonts we installed here a few years ago. So today I went in and changed the addresses pointing towards the locations of your special fonts. I doubt you'll notice much of a change, but other people will definitely see a big improvement.

At the same time, I made some changes to where those custom fonts were being used. The definition I gave them back in 2014 was fine for then, but we've added some new features that are important to keep "Fandom branded" with certain fonts. So you'll find that Leckerli or this gorgeous purple color no longer invade the Fandom footer at the bottom. Most parts of most pages won't have much of a change, but the main page in particular needs to retain footers and headers that use "Fandom fonts".

If you have any questions, or think some parts of the wiki have been unnecessarily changed, lemme know!

    • Hello, CzechOut! Good to hear from you as well. I hope you're doing okay, too. :)

Apologies for the late reply; I've been busy with different things lately (in fact, I'm going out of town for several hours tomorrow).

Thank you very much for doing that with the typeface, and thank you for fixing the "Welcome to the Wiki" part on the home page. :D

I actually do have a couple of questions...

      • Since we're on the topic of typefaces (and it actually somewhat pains me to say this)... I was wondering if it's possible to restore the "main" typeface of this wiki to the default one. The primary reason is I found out it lacks those little dots that appear when you incorporate mouseovers. There's an example of such with the point values in the Scoring section of the Diamond Mine article. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the typeface itself, but it's that little thing about it that kinda bothers me. Like I said, I feel bad mentioning this because I remember putting emphasis on custom typefaces as one of the things I wanted with the Bejeweled Wiki remodel... and now here I am asking if the "main" one can be changed back. I definitely want to keep the Leckerli typeface, though.
      • I've noticed a few wikis are employing the new style of wiki header (which looks good, by the way), so I was wondering if you could tell me how I can do that with this wiki. I recall watching a video about it on one of Fandom's articles a few weeks ago, but I can't seem to find the link it again.

Well, that's all I have. Again, it's good to hear from you again! :)

    • Since I've yet to hear a reply from you, I'm beginning to worry if my request on wanting to have the "main" typeface (not the Leckerli one) of this wiki changed back to the default Fandom one has upset you. If it did, I apologize. I hope you're not thinking I want both custom typefaces reverted; I definitely want to keep the purple Leckerli one.

In my previous reply, I addressed the primary characteristic of this wiki's "main" typeface (I'm sorry for calling it as such, but I've forgotten what its name is) that somewhat bothers me. But I noticed another slight problem with it. Take a look at these screenshots I took of what the Bejeweled Wiki's home page looks like on a PC and a Mac...

As you can see, the typeface lacks bolding on a Mac, which makes the typeface look a little strange. Like I said before, I'm not sure if this is a problem with the typeface itself.

Again, I apologize if my first request has made you unhappy, and I hope you're not too upset with me.

    • Thank you for sharing that with me! I'm not sure where we could add that... but if I had to choose, I think it might suit being on the homepage. Speaking of which, I keep thinking it may be time for another wiki homepage and design overhaul because it doesn't include anything Bejeweled Stars-related.

I'm very sorry for the late reply. I've been busy with a lot of different things lately. I know I keep saying that, but I promise I'll explain what's been going with me in a post.

    • Alright then. :)

        Loading editor
    • I was planning add that but, I don't feel like editing as of the moment due to IRL activity and other huge plans I have yet to do in this wiki (which is a lot in an editor's perspective).

In my opinion, Gemspinner, that design is fine as it is for now.

    • (Sorry for this late response)

Just a few days ago, that game is already on my country's Play Store. Although, there may be a chance that it's still not available in some countries yet (as a contacted a user about it in another wiki and said user told me that it's still not available) but, we may assume that we may create pages about it.

Also, that game was renamed to "Bejeweled Stars" and to be honest, I like "Skies" better.

    • (That's okay, no worries)

Sounds great. I'll keep watching videos of the game for more information.

I actually like "Stars" better, mostly because I don't like the word "skies" in general. When I look up, all I see is one sky. Where are these other skies? Maybe on other planets, but definitely not on Earth.

  • So I found this rare gem in an ad, which I believe was mistakenly revealed. It is in the current update, internally named "owl" and has a description. It says, "Ninja Owl, an owl by night and Ninja in the morning". Image of the ad

Is there any specific place where I can put this (Like an Upcoming Content page or something similar like that), or do I just wait for it to possibly be released?

      Loading editor
    • Hmm, that's very interesting. I'm curious to see how this Rare Gem behaves. I think we should wait for it to possibly be released before including information about it.

By the way, thank you for obtaining the filename of Love Potion. I don't want to seem like a bother, but it possible for you to get an "HD" version of the Rare Gem as well?

    • I usually crop the images PopCap posts on their Bejeweled Twitter page, but there haven't been any good ones. I can't unpack from the game due to failure.

    • Looking forward for those good images, Ernesto.

  • I present you - CMP (Challenge Mode Plus)!

Made by (different member of) Bejeweled Tieba, no less.

The 2nd version of CMP (CMP2), came out on 16th February 2016, i'm trying to track down the original "version 1", which seem to date even earlier than QMP1

So shall we just update the original QMP article to include the CMP series or make a standalone article?

I was thinking that, in addition to the QMP series, there were also different fan-takes of Bej3's Quest mode, so we can just rename the article to "Fan remakes of Quest Mode" and include all of them, or something.

      Loading editor
    • Cool! Just downloading it now.

Unrelated, but your Planned Games document two fan edits to Bejeweled 3: Super Quest and Nick's Quest. Do you mind sending them to me if you have them?

    • Wow, that's very interesting! Thank you for sharing that.

So shall we just update the original QMP article to include the CMP series or make a standalone article?

I think it should be a stand-alone article, but this is just my opinion. I'm sure the others have different thoughts regarding this.

I was thinking that, in addition to the QMP series, there were also different fan-takes of Bej3's Quest mode, so we can just rename the article to "Fan remakes of Quest Mode" and include all of them, or something.

Hmm, that sounds like a good idea. The thing is, though, I'm not sure how many fan remakes there are exactly. It could turn out to be quite a hefty article. Not that I'm saying that makes it a bad idea or anything.

        Loading editor
    • I'm aware of only 4 other Quest mode fanedits (and Storm2 made two of them), so it wouldn't be too long, besides, QMP remains the most well known one anyway :P

Also, it seems that there was no CMP1.

  • Please delete this template: http://bejeweled.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Disambiguation

Reason for deletion: I didn't knew there was a disambiguation template already. Please delete.

      Loading editor
    • Actually, that template design and its statement is worth a keep, to me at least. I was actually amazed on how you made it (and my eyes are on open-wide due to that). It's better than the default disambiguation template and it should be used for disambiguation of game modes, challenges, and quests. Gemspinner, your opinion about this template?

        Loading editor
    • Hmmmm... I kind of have mixed feelings. I think it's a good template, and I would like to thank you RdHeaven for making it. However, from what I've seen on other wikis most of them simply have a notice at the bottom of disambiguation pages mentioning that it's an disambiguation page. I don't want to seem mean and say the template should be deleted, but if we keep it then I think we may have to change it.

        Loading editor
    • I actually think your template should be kept. Just because a plain design is used on other wikis, doesn't mean this template shouldn't be used. Not using a template because equivalent templates on other wikis use a different style is IMO rather silly.

  • Are there any articles on Bejeweled Skies yet?

      Loading editor
    • I'm going to answer that based on my point of view of this game.
That's new. However, it's not available in some countries yet (including my country) and articles about this game is currently unnecessary at the moment. We simply need to be wait for the right time to make them.

Edit: Nevermind, a user made a page about it since that game is available in his country although, I told the same user the other time to wait until the full release after the creation of that page and I won't delete that page he created. Thanks for the remind!

        Loading editor
    • Huh. I didn't know there was a new Bejeweled game. I watched a few gameplay videos of it and I think the game looks pretty neat. I agree with AWikiBoy521 that we should wait for the right time to make articles related to the game. I suppose we could also make articles related to other Bejeweled games we haven't covered on this wiki yet, such as Bejeweled Legend, Bejeweled 3D, and perhaps even Gyromancer.

        Loading editor
    • Bejeweled Legends! Now that was one missed opportunity there.

        Loading editor
    • You know, Gyromancer already had it's article in another wiki. Bejeweled Legends should have been released outside Japan.....

Special thanks to Insert for informing me about this that Gyromancer article.

  • I was able to access some of the Bejeweled Blitz textures (mobile version) from the game.

      Loading editor
    • Hey, these are great! With the Rare Gem sprite sheet, we could crop each Rare Gem and use them for their respective info-boxes. I'm not sure what we could do about the other sheets, but I think we'll find a use for them. I hope it's possible to get sheets of the other Rare Gems as well. Thank you for sharing these with me. :)

I have to ask, how did you obtain these? I'm guessing you got into the game files or something, but I don't know how to do that with mobile games.

        Loading editor
    • I used a java tool to unpack them from the RSG files, though it doesn't fully unpack some of them, causing the image to looked glitched or have swapped RGB channels. I was only successfully able to unpack these.
